De Zaak Cultuur – Dataism (NL)
Any organisation deploying a digital transformation understands that sooner or later, they will have to invest in data. The cliché is that data is the new oil. Is this also true in the cultural sector? And if so, who are the dataists there? We would like to introduce some of them to you: Saskia Scheltjens, Head of Research at the Rijksmuseum and Emilie Nenquin, who made the VRT data driven in just a few years. What can we learn from them? And how do you reconcile the so-called filter bubble with the flavour-enhancing aspect of culture?
*This session is in Dutch only.

On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December, ‘De Zaak Cultuur’ will take place, an initiative of 13 organisations that are revisiting the future of the cultural sector. At Media & Culture Fast Forward, we will continue to work on three major challenges: digitisation, financial resilience and growth opportunities.
